At the closing, this past weekend in Montreal, of the first Business Forum Québec-Haiti, Edwin Parison, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad offered the Diaspora, supervision of his ministry in their quest of participation in the economic and financial activities of the country.

The Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (Ministère des Haïtiens Vivants à l’Étranger MHAVE) wants to be the "gateway of the Diaspora to Haiti to facilitate all the administrative procedures for the capital investment and job creation by the diaspora and its partners foreigners" said the Minister.

Edwin Paraison in particular gave a report on services of accompaniment of the ministry to the potential actors, of legal and technical assistance for the recording of new companies, participation in decision-making centers, integration with reconstruction projects, communication services and information dissemination. He also recalled the the law on the privileges of June 2002, which exempts members of the diaspora who have acquired among others or a different nationality, to having a visa to enter the country, and the formalities relating to residence permit, the formality of your license for foreigners, the authorization of the Ministry of Justice to acquire all real property and payment of related fees.

Similarly, the MHAVE submitted to the executive, a bill for the organization of cooperation inter-Haitian, and says itself ready to sign with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs an agreement facilitating its permanent representation near the communities of outside. For the Minister the "Haitian Dream" of a new Haiti is possible with the "full and whole participation of the diaspora".
