Haiti - Social : The reception centers for repatriated Haitians are not ready
To 3 days of the registration deadline (17 June 2015, 5 p.m.) to the National Plan for Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE) living in an irregular migratory situation in the Dominican Republic, the two reception centers in Haiti, that had to be built in Ouanaminthe and Malpasse, for our compatriots to be repatriated because they could not regularize their immigration status, are still not ready and the Haitian government remains silent on the subject...

The prefabricated buildings, will be used to provide temporary shelter, advice and assistance to Haitian citizens that will be repatriated for not having been accepted in the PNRE, or who are not enrolled in the regularization program.

On the Dominican side, 5 first Transit centers, located in Haina, Pedernales, Jimaní, Elías Piña and Dajabón are under construction http://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14186-haiti-politic-d-4-dr-deploys-its-repatriation-device.html . The Dominican government continues to promise that repatriations will be in compliance with human rights.

Moreover, hundreds of Haitians continue to overwhelm, not without many incidents http://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14184-icihaiti-social-registration-to-pnre-high-tension-among-haitians.html http://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14153-haiti-social-pnre-d-7-increase-in-incidents-between-haitian.html , the Centres of PNRE open 7/7 from 7 am to 7 pm spread throughout the neighboring Republic.

Recall that all those who will registered in PNRE, will have a maximum of 45 days after June 17, 2015, to file all the required documents and complete their file. All Haitian or other foreign nationalities, that are not registered after this date or does not meet the criteria required by the PNRE, risk repatriation to their country of origin.

Note that there are a total of 24 PNRE centers throughout the Dominican territory and three mobile units to register in the provinces of Valverde, Montecristi and Dajabon. Each center can handle 250 requests per day, while in the National District, the capacity exceeds 500. The national total registering capacity is more than 6,000 requests per day.
