Haiti - Training : Certification of 63 operators and technicians trainers in heavy equipment
The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), proceeded to the certification of 63 operators and technicians, executives of the National Center Equipment (CNE) after a 11-week training in use and maintenance of heavy machinery provided by the experts of the Caribbean Heavy Equipement Educationnel Center of Suriname. These 63 men and women have received training of trainers to enable them to train in turn.

"We are proud to have contributed to bridging the gap between operators and technicians throughout training," welcomed Raymond Tawjoeram, the Senior Director of the Caribbean Education Centre.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sophie De Caen, the Senior Director of UNDP, expressed great satisfaction with the willingness to learn and perfecting concern of CNE executives, inviting them to keep the same momentum because the country much needed.

Alfred Piard, the Director of the Ministry of Public Works, acknowledged that this training of trainers fills a gap that existed at the CNE and allow the institution to respond more adequately in the coming days to the need for effective management of heavy machinery "With these new skills, we are certain to ensure better management of heavy machinery we have, for the benefit of infrastructure construction works for the improvement of living conditions of the Haitian people throughout the country."

"Today, 63 of our executives received their trainer certificates. We fully welcome and we add a lot of confidence in their skills to transmit knowledge received to other public and private sector administration," declared Christophe Antoine Daniel, Director of the equipments at CNE.
