Haiti - Politic : Evans Paul announces a memorial project in Bois Caïman
On Saturday, Prime Minister Paul Evans ended his tour began on July 23 in the north of the country.

To the Plaine du Nord, that celebrated the patronals feast Saint-Jacques Majeur, the Head of Government met with local authorities, police, community leaders and church of the town. He took the opportunity to get to the Bassin Saint-Jacques, which, on the occasion of this Feast, became a place of pilgrimage for vaudouisants "Bassin Saint-Jacques is a tradition that persists and we must respect," said Prime Minister Paul.

During his visit to Bois-Caïman, one of the high holy places of our history, theater of the famous ceremony from where departed the signal for the general revolt of blacks against slavery and colonization, the Prime Minister announced that the Government is planning to erect a memorial "This memorial project that we will initiate, will be a place of memory, memory of what we are, so that never again the bestial system against which our ancestors stood up and they fought reappears. Haiti has much to say, because we are a universal symbol of freedom against the slavery system. We must, to this end work so that we leave a better legacy for future generations."

After the visit at Bois-Caïman, the Head of Government visited the natural site "Nan Brise" a magifique a cave where spring water flows and which served as a place for voodoo rituals.
