Haiti - Politic : New Secretary of State for Justice
Monday, Pierre-Richard Casimir the Minister of Justice and Public Safety proceeded to installation of Me. Ronald Cibert as the new Secretary of State for Justice, he takes over from Me. Jacquenet Occilus (in office since 18 January 2015), which was revoked because of "the new changes that the government intends bring," indicated the outgoing Secretary of State.

In his speech, the Minister Casimir began by commended the passage of Me. Occilus to the Ministry, Ministry in which he said he found a loyal collaborator, before attracting the attention of the new Secretary of State on the operation "punch ", launched against prolonged preventive detention, which currently pays particular attention to the records of women and children. The Minister hoped that Me. Cibert will help fight this recurring scourge.

For his part, the Secretary of State for Justice thanked President Martelly and Prime Minister Paul who made choice of his person and promised to be an arduous worker and a useful contributor to the Minister.

Ronald Cibert began his university studies to the Quisqueya University in Management of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). 3 years later, at the University of Camague (Camaguey, Cuba) he studied Law until its license.

Returned home in late 2004, he submitted his candidacy to the Bar of Port-au-Prince to do his internship before being accepted in September 2006 as a lawyer. He is associate lawyer at Cabinet Patrick Laurent & Associés since October 2005. He worked from February to June 2006 as collection attorney to ACME (Association pour la Coopération avec la Micro Entreprise) ; from December 2009 to October 2013, he worked with the Banque de l’Union Haïtienne, as Director of Legal Services and Recovery.
