Haiti - FLASH : A young Haitian woman found strangled in Pedernales 08/08/2015 11:18:48
The Dominican police opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the murder and find the culprits. Two Haitian nationals were detained for questioning. Me Eleuterio Cuevas Herasme representing the prosecution, and the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence believe the victim was killed in another place and the body was transported to the place where it was found. According to initial medical findings of Dr. Jose Luis Vallejo, in the morgue of the hospital Dr. Elio Fiallo, which was transported the body of the victim, she would have been strangled in the night from Thursday to Friday. The body bears many traces of bruises on one hand and on the body signs that the victim defended against his attacker(s). It is too early to say whether the victim was raped.
