The CEP will take action against candidates troublemakers
Néhémy Joseph, Electoral Adviser stated "We are doing an inventory of the damage, identify candidates in infractions in order to take legal measures against the accused [...] the Council decision on candidates and the political parties which, through violence and fraud, disrupted the voting day, will conform to the electoral decree." Recall that Article 119 of Decree electoral law gives full legal authority to de-list of approved candidates who are found guilty of acts of violence and to suspend all electoral competitions for a period of up to 5 years the political parties or groups who are the instigators.

At Belle-Anse candidates take the street
Tuesday, 8 of the 11 candidates for deputies of the commune of Belle Anse accompanied by supporters marched peacefully through the streets and handed over to Bertrand Moses, Vice President of the Municipal Electoral Bureau (BEC) a petition for the cancellation of elections in Belle-Anse.

21 people in court
"Following the violence recorded everywhere in the West department, 21 people were referred to the public prosecutor of Port-au-Prince during the day of August 9, 2015, devoted to the legislative elections. Two of them were sentenced to five daysimprisonment, during a correctional hearing. In another hearing, five others were referred to the investigating cabinet. They are prosecuted for "kidnapping" of ballot box of the polling station," revealed the electoral adviser Me Néhémy Joseph.

Disabled , elections with difficult access :
Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for Integration of Persons with Disabilities stated that there had been many difficulties in terms of accessibility to polling stations, occasioning low participation of persons with reduced mobility in the elections on 9 August. "The majority of the polling stations were not accessible and adapted for the disabled, especially those located on the upper floor..."
