Haiti - Politic : 7 presidential candidates will present their economic program for Haiti 21/08/2015 11:53:44
Haiti is at a crossroad: its currency has been losing value, economic growth is stagnant, diaspora and foreign direct investments are on the decline. The next Haitian President will need to tackle a variety of issues from energy, infrastructure, education, import/export, to currency devaluation and inflation stabilization, in order to redefine Haiti's place in the 21st century global market place. This upcoming election is the first in recent memory to be centered on key economic development objectives to be delivered by the next President and his Government. HRA and its partners have invited 7 presidential candidates based on their positions in the latest published polls, to develop their program before a live audience. The candidates will present their vision to stimulate Haiti's economic and strategies to attract foreign direct investments. Questions will be drawn from the live participating audience as well as posts from Facebook and Twitter. This event is open to the media and the public.
