Haiti - News : Electoral Zapping...
CEP employees could be involved in the incidents of August 9
Sauveur Pierre Etienne, Coordinator of the Struggling People's Organization (OPL) and presidential candidate, referring to the violence of August 9 declared "Those who committed these crimes during elections are among 400-500. Police arrested nearly a fortnight, but it remains the others," specifying that some employees could be involved in them.

Many challenges in the South East
The Departmental Electoral Office South East (BED) recorded 13 challenges, including 8 for deputation and 5 for the Senate,in the challengers are the candidates of parties, Vérité, Organization of People in Struggle (OPL), Platform pitit Dessalines Konvansyon inite Demokratik (KID), Respè, and the Haitian tet kale Party (PHTK). These candidates, through a coalition, are demanding, inter alia, the cancellation of some voting, centers and polling stations, the counting of ballots rejected by the tabulation center, the recount of some centers, the revaluation of invalid votes and verification of the number of voters.

Rosemond Pradel, secretary general of the Fusion of Social Democrats, which has no qualified candidate to the Senate for the second round, laments that nearly 70% of qualified candidates for the second round are the PHTK, Bouclier and Vérité "compared to the profile of these candidates, we can already guess the kind of Parliament we will have in the next legislature. It'll be worse than the one we have had these past four years."

The CEP invites parties and presidential candidates
The Provisional Electoral Council, in the perspective of the second round of voting, scheduled for 25 October, invited the party leaders, political groups and candidates for the presidency, or their representative at a meeting to be held on Friday, August 28 at the El Rancho Hotel in Petionville. The agenda of this meeting will focus on: The vote of August 9, 2015 and corrections to bring; the campaign period and management of political parties representatives.

9 senators are demanding the cancellation of elections in the South East
9 senators from different political parties of "Pitit Dessalin", Fabien Sylvia Moise of "Fanmi Lavalas", Marc Elder Charles of "Renmen Ayiti", Milot Cajou Phénelon of "Pati politik Fanm avek fanmi", Hebert Lahatte of "Respè Konba", Wilner Consatnt of Fanmi Lavalas, Jacques Abraam of the Fusion, Maxo Baltazart of the OPL and Dieupie Chérubin of the KID, gathered in the old premises Top 50 to challenge the results published recently, denouncing the CEP and request the cancellation of elections whose results, according to them, were rigged.
