Indeed, the government remains mobilized to assist the population. A range of emergency measures was taken and still maintains in terms of health, safety, emergency aid, after the passage of tropical storm, that is now a trough of low pressure. Furthermore, measures have been taken to assist farmers whose plantations were flooded and devastated. "We continue to assess the damage caused by the passage of the storm. We update the national contingency plan in collaboration with our international partners. The Government continues to work to improve sanitation, public health, however, we must remain vigilant, in particular with respect to cholera that is and remains a threat. We call on the population to the strict and scrupulous respect of the instructions of the authorities. We call for caution and solidarity at this time," declared Evans Paul. The ban on air and road traffic in some parts of the country was lifted. The activities of Carifesta festival suspended yesterday Friday will be resumed. HL/ HaitiLibre
