The Club of Madrid unfavorable to the cancellation of elections
Wednesday, at the end of the 6th mission of the the Club de Madrid, the Head of the mission, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Wim Kok gave a press conference in which he said that the Club de Madrid is unfavorable to the cancellation of elections "On behalf of the Club de Madrid, I said and I repeat, for me the cancellation of elections would be a very bad decision." He invited various stakeholders to learn from what happened in the elections on August 9 and called every Haitian not to resort to violence and destruction during the next elections day, recalling that Haiti "[...] must demonstrate to foreign investors and the international community that it is on the way to political stability. Free, transparent and inclusive elections are a prerequisite for achieving political stability."

LAPEH against the dismissal of CEP
Wednesday, the Alternative League for Progress and the Haitian Empowerment (LAPEH) is positioned against the dismissal of Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and departure of power in place. For Jean Hector Anacasis, General Coordinator of the party, the CEP of Pierre Louis Opont must remain in place to fulfill its mission under the political agreement of 11 January 2015. He calls on political actors to respect the consensus that had given birth to electoral Council.
