Haiti - Tourism : Launch of the 9th Edition of «Artisanat en Fête»
Wednesday at the premises of the Research Institute for the Advancement of the Haitian Crafts (IRPAH), Emilie Jessy Menos, State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), participated in the launch of the 9th Edition of "Artisanat en Fête" in the presence of officials of Le Nouvelliste (event organizer), those of UNIBANK, Cola Couronne, Rhum Barbancourt, DIGICEL and artisans of IRPAH.

The novelty of this edition is the emphasis on paper work of artisans of Jacmel chewed, cut irons of village of Noailles and Léogâne carved stone. The works of craftsmen will be grouped by category, to better help the expected customer.

The Ministry of Tourism offers 5 kiosks to 5 craftsmen, participating in the event to be held on 10 and 11 October 2015 at the Historical Park of the sugarcane, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Recall that the MTIC supports handicraft industry around the country including the artisans of the village of Noailles in Croix-des-Bouquets where a modernization project is currently underway. "By the end of the year the work carried out in the village of Noailles by the administration of President Martelly will be inaugurated," Jessy Menos said.
