The themes of such relationship mode between law and politics in a rule of law, the citizen face the discretion of the State, the individual freedom of politicians, were addressed and discussed by men of law. Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice, congratulated the initiative of the bar and welcomed the accession of Me Stanley Gaston as the new President of the Order of Lawyers of Port au Prince, recalls that this symposium is all the more important that it addresses issues related to Electoral disputes. The Minister Casimirbelieves that the possibility for the defendant to seek recourse against decisions taken against him by the electoral tribunal is undoubtedly a fundamental way to protect against arbitrary stressing "Whether judicial justice, electoral, administrative or policy through the High court of justice, the Ministry of Justice has no influence on these courts mostly performed by independent State institutions," he emphasized on the judicial guarantees "which are, undoubtedly, an important pillar in the context of the protection of fundamental rights of individuals, including those of prisoners." Pierre-Richard Casimir emphasized that "allow litigants of modest means to have free access to a lawyer service is the State's responsibility. And it is in this sense that the team can work towards its institutionalization," reiterating the will of President Martelly, to continue to work towards strengthening the rule of law in the country.
