Haiti - FLASH : At least 2 dead and 10 injured on our roads every day...
Saturday in the premises of the Municipal Palace of the commune of Delmas the Ministry of Health in partnership with several State institutions involved in road traffic, including the Office of Vehicle Insurance Against Third, the National Police of Haiti and the Civil Protection Directorate commemorated the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

This activity organized under the leadership of the National Ambulance Center (CAN), with the support of Handicap International, the Red Cross, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed to educate Haitians about the need to reduce the risk of accidents on the public roads facing the recurrent cases.

Dr Michel Garnier, Deputy Director of CAN stressed "Two dead and ten wounded per day, that is the balance we have to the National Ambulance Center for cases reported, a catastrophic statistic that we intend significantly reduced in the future by a real awareness campaign for the entire Haitian population and users of the public road in particular."

A symbolic march was organized on this day of remembrance, which departed from the National Television of Haiti, leading to the Municipal Palace of Delmas.
