Haiti - Economy : The decline of the Gourde continues... 03/12/2015 09:42:14
For economists Eddy Labossière and William Savary, the socio-political situation that is deteriorating a little more each day contributes to an already bad economic situation and accentuates the fall of our national currency. In this sense, he urges the authorities to take urgent steps to curb this "crisis" exchange and encourages them to articulate public policies aiming to bring structural solutions to the problem of increased exchange rate. According to our sources the Central Bank of Haiti (BRH) should put on the market more than 50 million US dollar during this month to avoid the scarcity of the currency that affects Gourde.
