The PHTK Platform which has always preached tolerance and condemned violence qualifies"of barbaric and inhumane this crapulous crime [...] We are certain that this is the prerogative of people with bad intentions who oppose the holding of elections in the country and struggle for power. Platform PHTK wishes to recall that for some time the members of the radical opposition, supporters of violence, have never ceased to launch open and public violent threats against members and supporters of the platform. Deeply dismayed by the news of this assassination which is too many, the Platform PHTK asks the authorities to take their responsibility to ensure the safety of their presidential candidate, Jovenel Moïse, of all other candidates and all citizens in general. Platform PHTK request an investigation, serious and independent, is begun immediately to bring to justice all those behind this crime. While presenting his condolences to the family of the victim, Platform PHTK renews its commitment to contribute to development and its determination to participate in elections. We ask our supporters and sympathizers to remain calm while remaining vigilant."
