The Ministry of Culture noted a cultural dynamism in the country and confirmed the ability to offer a range of cultural activities of quality on the whole territory. To this end, it signed in August 2015, an agreement with the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) for the implementation of a project "Creation of a Cultural Development Agent Network". The first step is to recruit and train Cultural Development Agents, whose mission will be to support municipalities in the development and coordination of the cultural heritage of their territory.

For the 2015-2016 fiscal year, the Ministry of Culture is recruiting a first group of agents in different cities. These agents will be selected on the basis of their training in the field of culture, of their experience as cultural operators, their knowledge of the cultural environment of the area for which they are applying and their stability and interest in and to the municipality in question .

Brief description of the responsibilities of the Cultural Development Agent :
The cultural development agent is a professional of Culture that will contribute to the planning of cultural development projects of the territory and their implementation in accordance with the Ministry of Culture and the political vision of the municipality in question.

Specifically, it will have to :

Analyze cultural issues of the territory;
To promote culture among the population of the territory;
Support the initiatives of the environment related to culture and heritage;
Support the Municipality in the management and implementation of its action plan;
Conduct consultation and coordination activities in the environment with the municipality and local organizations as well as stakeholders in the cultural sector;
Write or analyze all documents in connection with the heritage and culture;
Consolidate the position of culture as an important component of the community sustainable development.

Requirements and working conditions :

Hold a professional or academic training in a discipline related to culture, communications;
Have a minimum of three years experience in the field of Culture;
Hold project management experience (an asset);
Possess communication skills and animation;
Possess excellent writing skills;
Being born and / or living in the area for which the application is submitted;

Required qualities :

Be of Haitian nationality
Be at least 35 years of more
Be of good character
Demonstrate initiative, maturity, discipline and integrity.

Two (2) recent date passport photos;
A written cover letter;
A criminal record;
Copies of supporting documents (certificates or diplomas, certificate of previous employment or participation in a cultural project).

Interested applicants possessing the required qualifications and the profile sought, are invited to submit their applications to the Ministry of Culture located at the corner of the streets de la Republique and Geffrard, Pau-P, Haiti, on working days between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm with the subject heading : "Recrutement Agent de Développement Culturel" addressed to the "Direction du Patrimoine Culturel" and no later than February 29, 2016.
