Haiti - FLASH : Presentation of the 2nd bus Made in Haiti
This Wednesday, March 9, Jean-Paul Charles Coutard, CEO of the bus construction company, Coutard Motors S.A., will proceed in the premises of Patrick Coach Line (Toussaint Louverture Boulevard) to the presentation of the second bus built in Haiti by his company and that is ready to enter into into service.

This second bus that benefits from the experience gained during the construction of the first bus in 2013 is an improved version. It corrects some imperfections, it is roomier, more powerful (300 HP) lighter but even more robust, it is equipped with internal camera and back and can carry 60 passengers comfortably instead of 56 previously.

The company Coutard Motors S.A will also takes advantage to launch a bus construction project in Haiti to help have a more decent public transport in the country and hopes to present at the end of this year, a city bus model, to improve the conditions of public transport in cities in Haiti.

The construction of this second bus began in July 2014 and was completed early this year. However, as highlighted Jean-Paul Coutard, lack of funding, they are the profits of the first bus (which, since over 2 years transporting thousands of passengers on the route Port-de-Paix / Port-au-Prince), which were reinvested in the operation which explains the long delay. The entrepreneur says that with sufficient and consistent funding, less than 5 would have sufficed to build this bus. Note that Coutard Motors does not even have plant and the construction was carried out in the courtyard of an enterprise of one of his friends.

It is in this sense that Coutard Motors will launch today a great drawing (rafle) (Ticket 100 gourdes) to participate in the change in public transport in the country and also to open a vocational school in mechanics. The winners of this drawing will win various bonuses, including a vehicle.
