Haiti - FLASH : Concert with the American jazz singer Carolyn Malachi 29/04/2016 09:34:09 Carolyn Malachi and her musicians: Wes Walkins (Drums), James McKimey (piano) and Jarel Araham (Bass) will conduct improvised sessions with professionals from local music to Port-au-Prince and St. Marc. During her tour of Haiti, the American singer will visit several institutions for workshops and mini-concerts : Kay Mizik, the MUPANAH, Restavek Freedom foundation, the Haiti Education and Leadership Program (HELP) and the Jazz Band of Collège Catts Pressoir. Note that this tour is supported by the US Embassy to promote jazz music in Haiti and mutual understanding between the Haitian and American culture, in addition to encouraging local cultural and tourist institutions.
