Haiti - Social : Youth celebrates May 1st 02/05/2016 11:26:34
Seedlings and local fruits in hand, singing patriotic songs, young people began the Agriculture and Labour Day with a parade followed by socio-cultural activities and workshops on citizenship, environmental protection, local production and the importance of sport.  In his speech, Woodly Simon, the Director of Youth and Integration of the Ministry, invited the youth to cultivate the love of their homeland, and of the local production during this day of awareness and relaxation, which was held under the theme "Ann travay ak tèt ansanm pou Ayiti chanje". Despite the very limited resources of the Ministry, the Minister Abel Nazaire reiterated his determination to continue to supervise the country's youth by involving them in all activities enabling them to actively participate in rebuilding the country.
