Haiti - FLASH : Terrible road accident in Delmas 32

The Interior Ministry deplores the terrible accident occurred at Delmas 32, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, May 1, at 3:00 am, which caused the death of a young man of 19 years (Espady Peterson) and injured more than a dozen others, many of whom are in critical condition.
The accident occurred when two vehicles carrying goods, entered in a crowd which occupied the street as part of a neighborhood entertainment. Local authorities, the PNH and the National Ambulance Centre intervened to assist the population and rushed wounded to hospitals. The vehicles in question were seized by the police for legal action.
The Interior Ministry presents its sympathies to the families and relatives of the victims and take the opportunity to remind citizens that any major event on public roads is subject to prior notification to the local authorities and the PNH to ensure that adequate measures are taken to ensure the safety of participants.
