Haiti - Politic : Towards an extension of the mandate of Privert ? 05/05/2016 12:04:07 Meanwhile, Privert and parliamentarians multiply the meetings to find an agreement by June 14 Cholzer Chancy, the President of the Lower House is not really opposed to an extension of the mandate of the temporary President, however he stresses the need to still know what Privert will decide on 14 June. According to him, 3 scenario 3 are possible, 1) Parliament notes June 14the absence of elections and request Privert to go 2) The President Privert refuses to go and Parliament must then be expressed in a vote of no confidence to force him to leave 3) Sit and discuss this deadline, solution he favors, although he wonders about what the President will offer as guarantee to reassure elected officials (who are divided on the issue of extension), that he will achieve well this time in the extra time, the elections... However, even if dialogue is maintained between Chancy and Privert, the Verification Commission, remains for the President of the Chamber of Deputies a subject of disagreement. He considers that such Commission is a waste of time, that will change nothing in the electoral race but it will has by con the effect of increasing the polarization of the population, with a lot of disorder and unpredictable violence...
