Haiti - Politic : 13 Organizations noting the failure of the Provisional Government 19/06/2016 09:36:56 They note that the term of 120 days that was granted to the Provisional Executive expired June 14, 2016, "did not allow the completion of the electoral process begun in 2015 according to the prescribed of the agreement of last February 5". Moreover, these organizations stress that during the 120 days theprovisional president "has made no real effort for the country to regain the constitutional way nor to improve the living conditions of the population." These Haitian organizations also regret that the Haitian Parliament has not arrived to assume the constitutional prerogatives conferred to it during the 4 months of the provisional presidency of Jocelerme Privert. In addition, they complain that the Senate has not been able to elect a President of the Upper House to direct its Assembly and also that the Chamber of Deputies failed to hold regular meetings. Concluding "So, it seems essential that the political and social actors find a political compromise for the establishment of an executive capable of leading the country on the constitutional way and political stability [...] the signatories of the present encourage the political actors, civil society organizations to sit around a table to find a workable consensus for Haitian solutions to the problems of political orders, social, economic and environmental who threaten us all."
