Haiti - Environment : Winners of contest TOTAL «Konbit Rebwazman»

At a gala evening at the Karibe Convention Center, the petroleum company Total Haiti proceeded to the award ceremony of the 2nd edition of the contest "Konbit Rebwazman" which rewards the best reforestation projects in 2016, in the presence of Dieusel Simon Desras, the Minister of the Environment.

250 projects competed in 5 categories and about three million trees listed, like last year, TOTAL Haiti has three winners in each of five categories. According to their category, the winners earned between 100,000 and 900,000 gourdes.

Winners of contest Konbit Rebwazman 2016 :

Catégorie Tikit : (Mini projects that planted between 50 and 500 trees a year)
Petit Colibri Rebwazman of Yranel Michel (1st section Savane Grande of the commune of Maïssade);
"Pwojè amenajman fèm lakay" of Guiteau Patrick (Kenscoff) ;
"Rebwazman Gérosier" of Gérôme Gérosier, (Hinche).

The heads of these projects have won between 100,000 and 300,000 gourdes.

Category Zòtolan : (Project having planted 501 to 1.000 trees in one year)
Organization of peasants of Paroty (Project Manager Jean-Louis René);
Reforestation Project (Project Manager Foristin Valais);
"Konbit Rebwazman" (Project Manager Jean Michel).

The heads of these projects have won between 200,000 and 400,000 gourdes.

Category Grigri : (Project that planted from 1001 to 2.000 trees in one year)
Agricultural processing center (CETPA) Project leader Jeanty Josapha;
The "Fruitière" (Bitasyon Merci-Jésus)Project Manager Lotin Philippe ;
Protection Project of the source nan Wòch, Project Manager Jean-Charles Maurice.

Les chefs de ces projets ont gagné entre 200,000 et 500,000 Gourdes.

Category Tako : (Project that planted from 2001 to 5.000 trees over a year, 1-2 hectares)
Forêt des Acajous, Chef de projet Joseph Noël ;
Comprehensive Development Project (CODEP), Project Manager René Désimé ;
"Site de Camp" Eco-touristique Lafonbelle, Project Manager Bertin Méance.

The heads of these projects have won between 350,000 and 650,000 gourdes.

Category Flaman : (More than 5,000 trees, more than 2 hectares)
Rebwazman nan tèt ansanm, Project Manager Jean-Marie Georges Azulphar ;
Water catchment project of the gully Forgue, Project Manager Renant Joseph ;
"Konpreyansyon devlopman pwojè rebwaze tè" (KDPRT), Project Manager Pastor Georges Durex Durandisse.

The heads of these projects have earned up to 900,000 gourdes.
