Haiti - Economy : PetroCaribe, meeting at the summit of the State 12/07/2016 09:52:44 This working session was held with the participation of Yves Romain Bastien, Minister of Economy and Finance, Aviol Fleuriant, Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Pierrot Délienne, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Venezuela to Port-au-Prince, Luis Ernesto Diaz Curbelo, representatives of the Unit for the Fight against Corruption (ULCC), of the Central Financial Intelligence Unit (UCREF), of the Office of Monetization of Development Aid Programs (BMPAD) and the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSCCA) among others. The discussions focused on ongoing projects funded by PetroCaribe and those whose funds despite disbursement have not yet started. The Head of State believes that the mismatch between funds mobilized and projects implemented, should be taken into account in order to remedy this situation. This meeting was held on the sidelines of a workshop on the management of Haiti's debt which we recall it, owes to Venezuela dated March 31, 2016 according to the BMPAD a debt balance payable over 25 years, of a little over $1.6 billion (1,689,342,437.66).
