Famni Lavalas presents its Senate candidate

Sunday, the departmental coordination of the Fanmi Lavalas party has chosen Senator Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé to represent the party in the next electoral competitions to renew one third of the Senate. The presentation of the parliamentary as candidate of was held in his stronghold in Ouanaminthe.

Civic Contributions to support the elections ?

In a letter to President de facto Privert, Me André Michel proposes to open a special bank account for the deposit of voluntary contributions from those who want to contribute to the financing of elections 2016/2017 "[...] I ask you to please pass instructions to proceed with the opening at the Banque Nationale de Credit (BNC) of a special account, permanent, transparent and accessible to all citizens, called 'Account of the Electoral Sovereignty (CSE)' (Compte de la Souveraineté Électorale (CSE)) intended to receive citizens' contributions to the financing of our elections [...] I am committed, at the opening of this account to bring my personal financial contribution [...]"

Security : special meeting of CSPN

Following correspondence from the Minister of Justice https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17998-haiti-security-the-minister-of-justice-wrote-to-the-prime-minister.html Prime Minister Enex Jean Charles convened a special meeting of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) on motorcycle traffic, particularly in the metropolitan area, as part of the fight against insecurity. He also assured the adoption of new provisions to counter violence.

Sadness of Head of Government

Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles expressed his sadness at the murder of Willems Edouard, former director of the national press, describing the disappearance of the latter as a "great loss for the country."

Camille Junior Edouard, Minister of Justice who presented his condolences to the family of the victim, said he was outraged and said that this act will not remains unpunished, the PNH and Justice will make every effort to reach to arrest and convict criminals who sow mourning in the Haitian families.

The Parliament will have to put their hands in the pocket

The Prime minister stated that parliamentarians should also be involved in the effort to mobilize financial resources for the 2016-2017 elections, without giving further details on the proposed measures.
