Haiti - Social : 2nd edition of «Weekend of Youth» 25/07/2016 08:41:58 Participating for the first time in the program, Mr St Cyr noted the importance of "Weekend of Youth" which aims to awareness Haitian youth on the real civic values. He also stressed that the country's future depends on young people regardless of race and color, which should give much importance to their studies if they aspire to a real change in their lives. Under the warm applause of the assistance, the MJSAC holder did not hide his satisfaction to see young people from neighborhoods deemed "hot" come together to share, exchange, learn and live in community during the summer season. The Minister Nazaire also noted that the de facto President Jocelerme Privert and the government as a whole support this initiative that showcases the many talents of girls and boys that will be responsible to take in the future, the reins of the country. "The time has come to break with all forms of unhealthy and dishonest activities," said Mr. Nazaire who urged young people to make of their studies their priority, adding, "We must take example on Evens Pierre, this young from Cité Soleil, boxing champion of his category in the America and Caribbean supervised by Jacques Deschamps Fils, a member of the economic sector," to invite young people to reflect on this talented model translates by a young of the disfavoured class and supported by an element of the business class. Conceived by the Directorate of Youth and Integration of MJSAC, "Weekend of Youth" will allow during the holidays to youth from disadvantaged areas of the 10 departments of the country to engage in the practice of social, cultural, educational and sports activities in an atmosphere of conviviality and fellowship.
