Haiti - Politic : The Deputy Tardieu unveils his action plan for the diaspora
At the 3rd Conference of Heads of Mission held recently at Hotel Kinam, the Deputy Jerry Tardieu (pétion-ville) presented his action plan for the Haitian Diaspora benefit from a formal representation to the Haitian Parliament.

"In 2019, during the last legislative session of the fiftieth legislature, the Haitian parliament will have to dispose of a eventual amendment declaration. As a parliamentarian, I intend to strongly support this amendment in particular to obtain, among others, that Haitians in the Diaspora benefit from a formal representation to the Haitian Parliament. Note that a significant number of countries have decided to give prominence to their diaspora in particular by allowing it enjoys parliamentary representation [...]

Without constitutional reform, we will never succeed in linking our diaspora to the alma mater. It is necessary to permanently integrate the Diaspora that has proved to be a major and undeniable component of contemporary Haitian history. It will only be justice to its importance (over 2 million), through the resources it emerges, through its productive and creative potential, through its contribution to the cultural and economic life, by its contribution to the struggle for democracy."
