Haiti - Politic: Report PetroCaribe, strong reactions of Office of Laurent Lamothe
Following the publication Wednesday of the investigation report of the Standing Senate Committee "Ethics and Anti-corruption," chaired by Youri Latortue on using of PetroCaribe funds https://www.haitilibre.com/article-18361-haiti-flash-rapport-d-enquete-sur-l-utilisation-des-fonds-petrocaribe.html (in french), the Communication Office of the former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe categorically rejects "the slanderous and false conclusions" contained in the report of the Commission Senatorial according to which the former head of government would have "backdated" as part of the management of PetroCaribe funds.

The Office of former Prime Minister Laurent Salvador Lamothe denounced this permanent plot against a citizen who honestly served his country in the difficult post-earthquake context, from 2012 to 2014. The latter remains willing to provide, always in all transparency all clarifications which can be used to establish the facts and dismiss these malicious attacks, while reserving the right to prosecute the perpetrators of this defamatory manipulation [...]"
