Haiti - Agriculture : IFAD will open an office on Haitian territory 26/08/2016 10:38:59
Thursday in Petion-ville, Pierrot Délienne, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Perrin Saint-Ange, Vice President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), proceeded to the signing of a headquarters agreement.
The objective of this agreement materializes IFAD's contribution in the implementation of the 2010-2025 agricultural development policy. This will allow Haiti to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, affecting agriculture, food security and nutrition. The signing of this agreement will enable IFAD to set up its office on the territory of Haiti.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Agronomist Pierre Guito Laurore, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Yves Romain Bastien, Minister of Economy and Finance, of Aviol Fleurant, Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, executives of Public Service and members of the diplomatic corps.
