2 hours of late, still no news of the CEP councillors to announce the election results, more the time passes without any explanations, and more the media raise questions about a particularly abnormal situation.

Today at a press conference, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) has expressed its readiness to cope with troubles that may arise following the publication of results.

Security has been strengthened in the zone of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) in Petion Ville and Delmas. The armored vehicles of Minustah, patrol since the mid-day near the Presidential Palace.

In many neighborhoods, the police presence is more visible than usual. The tension is palpable in the capital. Frantz Leurbours, spokesman of the PNH, said he hoped his apprehensions will not be justified, and gave the assurance that the security forces are eady to intervene and deal with any eventuality "We promised the security and calm before, during and after the elections and we will continue to work to stick to these words".
