Haiti - Matthew : At least 350,000 people need assistance

In a statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the impact of Hurricane Matthew "The Secretary-General wishes to convey his solidarity with the people and Governments of Haiti, Cuba and other nations in the Caribbean, affected by Hurricane Matthew.

A report on the situation of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), citing information from Haitian Civil Protection, indicates that 350,000 men, women and children in Haiti need assistance.
