Haiti - Social : Electric Status across the country 08/10/2016 10:07:48 Metropolitan Area production status : State of production: 105 MW No abnormalities reported in our plants. Péligre plant is running and the local grid is powered. Level of lake Péligre: 164.16 m - Flow rate expelled: 0 m³/s. Carrefour plant running with oil - Ability to operate 3 groups in the afternoon. Grid Status : Metropolitan Region 7:00 a.m. : 43 circuits out of 46 are available, 27 of them are currently supplied at approximately 85%. Interventions are underway for the full restoration of the circuits. N.B: The Communes (Croix-des-Bouquets, Léogâne, Kenscoff, Thomazeau) and some not yet powered neighborhoods will be gradually restored. The main Hospital Center are powered (Hôpital Général, La Paix, Asile Français, St François de salle, Canapé Vert etc...) Grid Status in province : The Great South ((Cayes, Jérémie, etc...) : Total absence of electricity. Damage are recorded at the grid level of all provincial towns. The assessment is ongoing. Schedules are underway for interventions in the following cities : Jacmel, Grand Goâve; Petit Goâve, Aquin, Miragoâne. Northwest Region: No power : Jean Rabel, Chansolme, Bombardopolis. Region North and Northeast : Currently nothing to report. Artibonite : Currently nothing to report. Repair of damaged lines : The circuit CPV 2-1 supplying the people of Morne Calvaire, Pèlerin, Laboule, Thomassin, Fermathe, Kenscoff, Furcy has been severely damaged in particular by strong winds causing tree falls on distribution lines. However, EDH are hard at work to make the circuit repair and powering these localities no later than Sunday, October 9th. DH would stress that for safety reasons, the magnitude and complexity of the repair work, they must be done gradually. It also wishes to reassure the residents of Croix-des-Bouquets, Malpasse, Thomazeau, Léogane, Pernier and Rue Chancy (Route de frères) who suffered damage to their respective circuits that its teams work tirelessly in order to complete the repair work to power them incessantly. EDH expresses its deepest condolences to those who lost family members, friends or neighbors during the passage of this devastating hurricane and calls everyone to show solidarity in these trying times.
