Haiti - FLASH : New floods, 10 victims, 4 departments affected
Flooding was reported in at least 15 communes of the departments of Grand'Anse, North, Northeast and Northwest, following heavy rains in the night of Saturday 5 and Sunday, November 6, 2016.

The city center of Cap-Haitien and its communal sections were particularly affected, either by the flood of torrents of water aggravated by the gullies of the hills or by the rise and discharge of river waters of Haut-du-Cap.

The provisional toll is 10 dead for 4 departments affected (3 women, 4 men and 3 children from the same family, including a young girl), 3 wounded, including two children, and 1 disappeared (adult male).

"The recorded rainfall in the night from Saturday resulted in 3 injured, 1 missing and 10 dead in the departments of Grand'Anse, Northeast and North, including 7 for the commune of Cap-Haitien and among them 3 children," pointed out for its part the Civil Protection Department (DPC) in a first status report, adding "many neighborhoods are flooded in downtown Cap-Haitien, but also in the communal section of Petite-Anse and Haut-du-Cap.The communes of Quartier-Morin and Limonade also reported flooding. Port-de-Paix : A woman in her thirties died in downtown Port-de-Paix, after the fall of her house, a section of wall of a neighboring house ;
Collapse of two collapsed houses in the city center, where many neighborhoods are flooded ;
Anse à Foleur : Flooding of several neighborhoods of the city center.

Department Northeast :
Ouanaminthe : Flooding by the river massacre of the plain of Rose, the village of the Remise, the free zone, the cities Gracia and Man Youyou. Flood of the locality of Tilorier by the river Canari. Flooding of the village of Oliviers by the Petite Rivière ;
Ferrier : Flooding of Meran, Bourgeau, Ponigo, la Tasse. Damage to crops ongoing and on the habitat. Public market affected ;

Trou du nord : Flooding in Garcin ;
Perches : Gardens devastated ;

Department of Grand'Anse :
Jérémie : Death of a mother of 7 children, 2 seriously injured in the collapse of a house ;
