Haiti - Elections : Venezuela alongside Jovenel Moïse
"The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the people of Venezuela extends his warmest congratulations to the elected President Jovenel Moïse.

Venezuela, the homeland of Bolivar and Chavez, highlights the great patriotic commitment of the people of Haiti during the electoral process, which overcame all the obstacles imposed by nature following the passage of Hurricane Matthew, reflecting its democratic conviction in the electoral process for the consolidation of a future in Peace and prosperity.

We reaffirm, in the name of fraternity and solidarity among our peoples, the firm determination of the Bolivarian Revolution to continue to strengthen the indissoluble unity of the 'Patria Grande', an eternal legacy enshrined in the libertarian project of Bolivar and Pétion.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates to the Government and people of Haiti its firm commitment to the construction of a more integrated, fair and supportive Caribbean by strengthening spaces such as PetroCaribe and the Bolivarian Alliance for Peoples of our America and the Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), so that we extend our hand of friendship to the elected President Jovenel Moïse and his people, to continue traveling on the roads of struggles and victories, in the consolidation of the independence of 'nuestramericana', in favor of a world without Empire and with justice for the People.

Long live to the people of Haiti !"
