Haiti - Security : Violence and Vandalism at the Ministry of Education
On Tuesday, the Ministry of National Education deplored and condemned once again the unacceptable behavior of a group of students of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), of future teachers, who used once again https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18684-haiti-social-vandals-today-future-teachers-tomorrow.html verbal and physical violence in the perpective of their recruitment into the public service.

The students invested the ministry's premises in Nazon and blocked access to the premises for several hours, breaking the main barrier and the windshields of several vehicles parked on the site, breaking windows of the building by stoning...

"The Ministry regrets this kind of action on the part of people who are called upon to supervise our young people and to inculcate them the values of living together, of tolerance, of dialogue and of respect for others. Reminding the protesters that the recruitment of an employee in the public service depends on the budgetary appropriations available and the real needs of the system."

While respecting the right to assert their claims, the Ministry invites these students to do so within the limits of the law and respect for the rights of others.
