Haiti - Elections : The OAS experts are already at work ! 30/12/2010 17:44:32 Work will begin today and will continue this weekend and next week, said Albert Ramdin, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) which stated that no public statement will be made during the process which will be held behind closed doors and that will end with the publication of a report "probably next week..." Before any real recount, the OAS experts will examine the criteria used by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) in the determination of the validity of the tally sheets had informed the Deputy Secretary: "The objective of today and tomorrow is to look on all systems and then agree on how the team will proceed. It will be in the compilation centers to understand the entire system as it operated, procedures which were followed, how it was executed, then the team will look on the results sheets and how they were counted" As for knowing if the second round of elections, originally scheduled the January 16, 2011, could be delayed because of the length of the verification process, Albert Ramdin said that this question concerned the Haitian government "They have their own criteria to determine how many days they need to prepare the second round, they have to talk about this subject".
