Haiti - FLASH : Distribution of passports and other documents in DR 24/04/2017 10:31:14
Of documents that will allow a small part of the Haitians enrolled in the Program of Identification and Documentation of Haitian Immigrants (PIDIH), whose many of whom have been waiting for these documents for more than two years, to continue their process of migratory regulation in the Dominican Republic in the three months they remain before the deadline and provided they are able to provide the other documents required by the Dominican Government in the framework of its National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE), what is not a small challenge for most of our compatriots. As for the other 239,000 Haitians enrolled in PNRE who are also waiting for their documents, apart from the promises never kept, the chances of not being expelled are reduced day by day. Sources at the Embassy of Haiti confirmed the calendar of delivery of the documents, which will be distributed on different days of the week and in alphabetical order to the Embassy of Haiti located at 33 Calle Juan Senchez Ramérez Santo Domingo, from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm and on weekends, by appointment, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Only Haitians residing in Santo Domingo will be able to withdraw documents from the Embassy on Monday, the day being reserved for citizens whose names begin with A, B, C or D; Tuesday to citizens whose names begin with the letters E, F, G and H; On Wednesday the names beginning with I, J, K and L; Thursday with names beginning with M, N, O and P; on Friday by Q, R, S and T, Saturdays for citizens whose names begin with the letter U, V, W, X, Y and Z and Sunday for letters J, M, P. Haitian citizens who reside outside Santo Domingo will be able to withdraw their documents from the offices where they were treated when they registered with the PIDIH.
