Haiti - DR : A gang of Haitian thieves dismantled

The Dominican National Police, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office, dismantled a gang of Haitians whose members are accused of having broken into churches, electronic equipment companies and computer accessories and various other businesses in Dajabon.

According to the police report, two undocumented Haitians identified as Ocelito and/or Joselito Pierre and Jodnel Seselise, were arrested by a patrol as they attempted to enter the "Yamanaka" grocery store and the "Charlie" jewelery store, at the corners of Carrasco and Marcelo Duarte streets in the municipality. During the arrest, the patrol seized a crowbar, an aluminum tube, a Stanley wrench and a 20-inch knife.

The police said the two robbers had confessed to the investigators that the stolen computer equipment and accessories had been sent to Haiti for resale, denouncing two other accomplices of Haitian origin identified as Altagracia Cornielle and daughter Josefina, who allegedly participated to the selling and sharing money. The two women were arrested for questioning.
