Subcontracting : 4 days of demonstrations announced
The trade unions announce four new days of demonstrations, to continue demanding an adjustment of the daily minimum wage to 800 gourdes: Friday 26, Monday 29, Tuesday 30 May and Thursday 1 June 2017.

PNH : dragnet in Gonaïves
The Haitian National Police (HNP) arrested in Gonaïves of 4 people, including two escaped Jean Milton (40), and Charles Esaïe (23), who had been convicted of rape and robbery of motorcycles while the other two individuals were involved in acts of banditry at Parc Vincent. A 22-gauge pistol and cartridges were found in their possession.

FLASH : Free concert at Kiosque Jeanty

The Executive satisfied with the extension of TPS
The Executive is satisfied with the decision by the Trump Administration to extend the Temporary Protection Status Program (TPS) for 6 months to nearly 60,000 Haitians, said Tamara Orion, Spokesperson for the Presidency. Insisting on the need for the different sectors to unite in order to build a country where it will be good to live for all its sons and daughters.

3rd Government Council
On Wednesday afternoon at the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant chaired his 3rd Council of Government in the presence of his Director of Cabinet, Joseph Guillaume and the Secretary General of the Primature, Hugues Joseph. The Council met to review the status of several important issues under way, including: fuel price adjustment, negotiations with teachers' unions and trade union outsourcing.

Towards a cooperation SEMANAH-Mexico
On Wednesday, Bruno Dieudonné, Director General of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) met the Mexican Ambassador to Haiti, Jose Luis Alvarado, to promote productive cooperation in the maritime sector between his institution and Mexico. Director Dieudonné took the opportunity to speak at length with Mrs. Georgina Marina, the head of cooperation of the Mexican Embassy.
