Haiti - Japan : Inauguration of the project of the Sacred Heart School of Jeanton
Friday in the presence of Yoshiaki Hatta, Ambassador of Japan to Haiti, Julio Estinvil, Coordinator of the Youth Development Organization of Jeanton/Saint-Marc (OJDJSM) of the members of the Board of Directors of the Communal Section (CASEC) of Jeanton, the new Commissioner of Police of St. Marc, the members of the community, teachers and pupils of the school took place the official ceremony of the "Construction and Equipment Project of the Sacred Heart Community School of Jeanton"

It should be recalled that in the context of the Assistance in the form of Grants to Local Micro-Projects Contributing to Human Security (APL) signed in 2014 between the OJDJSM and the Embassy of Japan in Haiti, an amount of US $ 100,854 had been made available to the organization. This sum allowed the construction of a building with 6 classrooms fully equipped with furniture, a directorate room and a sanitary block.

This project is part of Japanese cooperation with Haiti in the priority education sector.

In this framework of cooperation, Japan has already carried out 139 projects between 2001-2016 in Haiti, of which 56 projects concerned the improvement of the school environment.
