Condolences of President Moïse
Monday for the funeral of Mrs. Marguerite Roy Vorbe, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21177-haiti-social-the-world-of-sport-is-in-mourning.html the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse wished his "condolences to the Vorbe family on the death of Mrs. Marguerite Roy Vorbe who worked for the development of football in Haiti".

Valuation of Carrefour's tourism potential
Jessy Menos, Minister of Tourism accompanied by the Mayor of the commune of Carrefour, Jude Edouard made a field visit to various sites in the commune including : Diquini caves, Lamentin lighthouse, the old railway track, Hotel Auberge du Québec, a tourist heritage established for 40 years. The Minister and the Mayor have agreed to develop these tourism potentials.

PNH Celebrates its 22th anniversary
On Sunday, as part of the commemoration of the 22 years of the National Police of Haiti (PNH June 12, 1995 - June 12, 2017), took place at the Amphitheater of the academy an event "speech to the police", a orum where the police officers exchanged directly with their Directors General, Michel-Ange Gedeon about their frustration and concerns.

In addition, a marathon was organized by the community police office on a distance between the airfield runway and the BIM base at Clercine. Michel-Ange Gédéon was on site to give the prizes, medals and trophies to the various winners.

Awareness raising on disability in schools
The Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) has launched an awareness campaign in several schools (Collège Reine Immaculée, Collège St Louis Roi de France and Collège Ruben Marc) to encourage the culture of tolerance towards people with disabilities. The campaign is designed to change the way we look at disability and encourage young people to contribute to building a more inclusive society that takes into account the needs of people with disabilities.

Program against prolonged detention
This Monday 12 June the Ministry of Justice and Public Security will launch a new Program against prolonged pretrial detention.

Tourism opportunities of the Grand'Anse
Jessy Menos, Minister of Tourism, received a delegation of parliamentarians from Grand'Anse led by Senator Jean Rigaud Bélizaire on the opportunities of the region. Ecotourism, seaside resorts, mountain walks, cruises, and culinary specialties are the assets enumerated by the deputies Papillon (Corail), Étienne (Pestel) and St-Jean (Jeremie). Beyond their region, the elected representatives of Grand'Anse highlighted the importance of the tourism sector as an engine of economic growth for the whole country.
