Haiti - Diaspora : Festival Haïti aux Grands Voisins (Paris)
The Haiti Futur Association in collaboration with Les Grands Voisins, organizes the Festival Haïti aux Grands Voisins, a unique venue in the heart of Paris, from Wednesday 21st to Sunday 25th June 2017.

This Festival will bring together many artists and will showcase the immense cultural wealth of Haiti. The program will combine music, poetry, exhibitions of photographs, paintings, haitian crafts, literature, theater, cinema, and gastronomy.

For more than twenty years, the association Haiti Futur aims to develop quality education and promote social entrepreneurship in Haiti, while promoting the Haitian culture. Haiti Futur has thus initiated a new kind of event with the Grands Voisins in order to bring together the general public around Haiti.

Highlights of the Festival :

Wednesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm: Fête de la Musique with various musicians who will play throughout the evening: Atissou Loko, Serge Tamas, Jackson Télémaque;

Thursday June 22 at 7:00 pm: Bassist Ted Beaubrun, a modern farmer of the sounds and rhythms of Haiti, will perform at an exceptional evening;

Friday, June 23 at 5:30 pm: Elodie Barthélémy, painter, will animate the "Lesson of anatomy", a speech on the subject of the perception of the body;

Saturday 24 June at 2 pm: Meeting and exchange of Franco-Haitian Associations on the occasion of a World Café;

Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 pm: The singer Melissa Laveaux and anthropologist Anne Lescot will lead a discussion around the Creole language.
