Haiti - Politics : Minimum wage, Moïse meets with trade unions
Thursday at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moses, met with representatives of the Haitian trade union sector, to try to solve the problem of the minimum wage.

This important meeting was attended by Jude Pierre, Lafontant Reginald, Pierre Telemaque, Etienne Chrismène, Evel Fanfan, the lawyer for the trade unions, Jean-Jacques Charles, Saint-Eloi Dominique, Saint Clair Camito and François Gérard was the opportunity for the participants to mention several important points, notably the composition of the Superior Council of Wages (CSS).

Representatives of trade unions who were in favor of a new proposal by the Executive or the employers in relation to the fixing of the minimum wage also brought to the table the issue of the employees dismissed as part of the Union activities and benefits to which subcontracting and other employees aspire in the areas of transportation, catering, medical insurance and housing.

The Head of State took the opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of his administration to socially support workers so that they can be more productive and live better in their family environment.
