iciHaiti - Tourism : The Côte des Arcadins, a paradise to discover...
A long stretch of white sandy beaches, the Cote des Arcadins is only 45 minutes north of Port-au-Prince by National Road #1. There is a public beach for visitors at reasonable rates. For a few dollars more you can access a set of private hotels and resorts that offer many services, fine creole cuisine and freshwater pools.

Freshly caught fish and seafood are available along the beaches of the Côte des Arcadins. You can buy them directly from the fishermen and do not forget to try the lemon pepper sauce (Pikliz) with your dish of grilled lambi.

On the Côte des Arcadins the sea is mostly quiet and transparent, so favorable to snorkeling and water sports. It is important to remember that generally beaches and pools are not monitored by lifeguards.

The Côte des Arcadins is a must-see for tourists who are looking for sunshine. For those who want to explore sights, explore the neighboring forts, or turn to some excursions in the surrounding villages.
