Haiti - Politics : Mayor Chevry meets with representatives of the International Community
Ralph Youri Chevry, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, accompanied by his Director of Cabinet and Councilors, participated this week in the premises of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Haiti to a meeting with several Representatives of the international community, in particular Manfred Auster, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Manuel Lorenzo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Carole Lucas, Counselor at the French Embassy and Massimo Scalorbi, Head of Delegation Cooperation of the EU in Haiti.

The purpose of the meeting, which was attended by Matt Woods, Chargé d'affaires at the EU Delegation, was to clarify the Chinese proposal for reconstruction of the Town Hall and the construction of several new public contracts https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21711-haiti-politic-toward-the-reconstruction-of-the-pap-town-hall-with-the-help-of-china.html and to evaluate the possibilities of a more sustained collaboration between the City of Port-au-Prince and the various international actors involved in Haiti.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to maintain a more intense communication with the City Council by multiplying these meetings in order to facilitate a better collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince.
