Haiti - FLASH : 3 Haitians drowned, 48 others rescued in Dominican Republic
Following the floods caused by Hurricane MARIA in the north-west of the Dominican Republic, the Civil Defense and the Dominican authorities recovered the bodies of three drowned Haitians, two in the Yaque del Norte river (Jidenn Pierre, 21, and Dyemanu Pierre, 19) in the region of Hatillo Palma (Province of Monte Cristi) and another (Filon Eloy, 37) in the Junquito de Mao region, also in Monte Cristi Province.

In addition, the Dominican Civil Defense informs us that with the help of the army, volunteers and other state security agencies, 48 Haitian agricultural workers stuck by the floods on the farms where they worked, has been rescued and are safe and sound.
