The intervention of the CIMO made the demonstrators furious and provoked in addition a movement of panic, triggered acts of violence. Individuals attempted to burn a gas station at Delmas 83 in vain, and various incidents and acts of vandalism were reported. It should be noted that prior to the CIMO intervention unidentified individuals fired shots into the air with automatic weapons from a vehicle at Delmas 5 and Delmas 45 causing panic scenes among protesters and residents. Jean Charles Moïse the leader of the platform of the radical opposition "Pitit Desalin" present at this demonstration confirmed that he was there to demand the departure of the Head of State "I am not on the concrete for something else. I am coming back from the North and the South, the whole country is demanding his departure because he has not listened to the demands of the masses." TB/ HaitiLibre
