Haiti - Sports : The FHF launches a call to Fair Play and the sense of responsibility of all ! 10/11/2017 09:16:41 The intolerance that destroyed the Haitian society has spread and contaminated the game of football, including violent assaults on referees, fans and even the transport vehicles of teams. Even once-good supporters, behaving following the spirit of the game, become uncontrollable lately. Such acts are inadmissible because football, sport, is meant to bring men closer together and thus contribute to a greater harmony, a more solid conviviality in society. The echoes of such forfeits have for first effect, for some time indeed, to pollute the atmosphere in the football stadiums and to discard every day more true fanatics and lovers of football that have only the football matches as cheap entertainment especially in our society where it is singularly lacking recreations. Football must be an example and football matches must remain a spectacle, a celebration, a party for all and sportsmanship and fair play must prevail at all times and especially that the respect of fair play, of the safety of some and others must be guaranteed whatever the issue of the competition. A football stadium does not guarantee any immunity and must not promote any form of impunity; those who commit crimes and wrongdoings must pay the consequences. In this sense, Fifa and Concacaf, alarmed by this state of reprehensible and inadmissible facts that tarnish the image of the country, have recently delegated a special envoy in Haiti and of football demand from the FHF that it get tough with the utmost rigor against these facts that tarnish the image of the game worldwide and especially constitute a serious violation of the rights of the human person; and for this the FHF has asked the Secretary of State for Public Security and authorizes the PNH in accordance with its mission to help it to stop these abuses, apprehend and bring to justice these hooligans budding; all those who commit acts of delinquency and violence in football matches will be punished and Clubs first have the duty to denounce them and to make a complaint in accordance with the regulations of the national competitions. On the sporting side, the scales of sanctions provided for in the "FIFA Disciplinary Code" and the FHF Code have been reinforced to give more tools to the jurisdictional Commissions in this fight against these scourges of violence and anti-play. "Priority must remain in the game ! Haitian football must remain a clean game. The stake should not kill the game. We go to the stadium to celebrate and not to end up behind bars !" finish the FHF.
