The peak of this series will remain the triple series of the playoff pf the World Cup in 1970 when during a play-off at Kingston (the Central American qualifying 1-0), in October 1969 after a surprise victory of the El Salvador in Port au Prince followed eight days later by a resounding success from ours, at the Flor Blanca stadium 3-0. The players arrived from Haiti have been subjected to a rigorous medical examination in connection with the cholera epidemic raging in Haiti. It is finally very late in the evening that the players were able to join the Intercontinental Hotel located in the downtown of the capital of El Salvador, coach Edson Tavares has given an extended rest to players, during the morning of Tuesday to facilitate their recovery. Tuesday afternoon at Cuscatlan Stadium, the players attended a training for one hour, with the national coach, in order to recognize the field and conduct a tactical implementation.
